Anniversary celebration: KLINGELNBERG again honors 12 employees for 25, 40 and 50 years of company loyalty

On January 24, 2020, the machine manufacturer KLINGELNBERG once again honored 12 employees for 25 and 40 years of commitment, and one employee who can even look back on 50 years of company history. The celebration was held in the traditional venue, Haus Kleineichen, in the German town of Hückeswagen.

During a shared evening meal, the Chief Executive Officer of the KLINGELNBERG Group praised his employees for their loyalty to the company. “I would like to extend my most sincere thanks for your many years of service and commitment. Thanks to experienced employees like you, we are continually improving, developing excellent products, and taking on one new challenge after another,” said CEO Jan Klingelnberg.

50 years of service to the company
Five decades of service – a rarity at Klingelnberg. Last year, Hans-Jürg Spiess was honored for his 50 years spent in service to the company. This year, that honor went to Konrad Sikora. Mr. Sikora began his career at Klingelnberg in 1969, training as a lathe operator. He successfully completed his training in 1972 and continued to practice this profession until 1980. In 1980, he was taken on as a technician in Job Engineering and successfully directed the Programming department. From 2014 until his well-earned retirement at the end of 2019, he held the position of Technical Specialist in Drive Technology.

Looking back on 2019
This past year, Klingelnberg presented a variety of product highlights, which were exhibited at numerous international trade shows.

At the same time, the company has taken great strides in developing its optical measuring technology. Klingelnberg Optical Metrology successfully combines the advantages of tactile and optical measurement in one system. With the precision of the tactile 3D NANOSCAN and the speed of the optical HISPEED OPTOSCAN, Klingelnberg Precision Measuring Centers are ideally equipped to handle all measurement tasks. Through an ingenious combination of optical and tactile measurement, the total measuring time for cylindrical gear measurements can be reduced by up to 30% without compromising accuracy.

Other highlights include the newly developed Oerlikon G 35 Bevel Gear Grinding Machine, specially designed to meet the requirements of the aviation industry. With its two vertical grinding spindles, the G 35 raises the manufacture of aviation gearing to an entirely new level. Tried and tested concepts and components are used to ensure optimal functionality and the best possible availability of spare parts for this special-purpose machine.

And, last but not least, Klingelnberg demonstrated its expertise in winning new markets. With innovative solution concepts such as roller bearing measurement, the system supplier successfully established itself in a new business segment. A Klingelnberg Precision Measuring Center is capable of fast measurement of dimensions, shape, contour and surface roughness in one automated cycle.
